Land Use Meeting: Proposal to use former Church Property for the 4J Community Living Program

The Eugene School District 4J has proposed a change of use for the former church building located at 1345 W 16th Avenue (Map and Tax lot: 17-04-36-43-02000). The change of use requires a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) in this low-density residential zone (R-1).
Proposed Project: Tentatively includes a Conditional Use Permit application to change the use from the existing Church use to a School use that will house the Eugene School District 4J’s Community Living Program.
The Community Living Program serves young adults with developmental disabilities that need continued support for post-secondary school success. An interior renovation is needed to accommodate the proposed use, but the existing building will remain and it will not be expanded.
