JWN Board Elections September 15
6:30-7:30 (ish) via Zoom
COVID, smoke, and ash, oh my! We just can’t seem to catch a break. After consulting with HRNI and some folks who drafted our bylaws, we have decided to go forward with the Board election using the Zoom poll function.
Candidates have filled out questionnaires that are available on the JWN website. Please review them before the vote.
In order to have a member-only election, we are requesting that any JWN member who wishes to attend contact us at email@example.com NO LATER that 5pm on September 15 for the meeting URL and access code. Please provide your name and address. to verify you are a JWN member. If you are a JWN business owner or manager, or direct a non-profit or church, use your business/church/non-profit address/name.
THE INVITATION WILL BE SENT THE DAY OF THE ELECTION. PLEASE DO NOT SHARE OR POST THE THE URL OR ACCESS CODE!
Volunteers who are on the JWN Volunteer and the Friends of Monroe Park lists will get a URL and access code.
Please note that the meeting will be recorded and posted online
Here is how the election process will work:
- Each Zoom connection gets one anonymous vote, so if you normally share a device, make sure one of you is signed in on another device (Zoom works on phones as well). Each adult gets a vote.
- Each position will be voted on in turn and the results tallied immediately. We start with Chair, then Vice Chair, and then each Member-at-Large position.
- There will be a chance to ask questions, but please first refer to the Candidate Statements.
- We have one person for each position, so it should go quickly.
